DAY 1 – 3: THE SELINDA SPILLWAY, SELINDA RESERVE
Your Botswana safari starts with a game transfer from Selinda Airstrip to the starting point of your Selinda Canoe Trail safari.
This canoeing and walking adventure safari navigates some 45km along the Selinda Spillway – the waterway linking Botswana’s Okavango Delta and its Linyanti and Kwando systems - in stable, 18-foot Canadian-style canoes with cushioned seats.
Days are spent paddling eastwards, following the meandering route of the Selinda Spillway, and viewing wildlife and bird species that may be seen along the banks. An integral component of the Selinda Canoe Trail is the ability to hop out of the canoe and discover the wonders of the Selinda Reserve, accompanied by qualified guides who will track spoor and unveil stories of the African bush.
On your Botswana safari you may spot a wide variety of wildlife, including elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, hyena, waterbuck, kudu, impala and many more. The reserve is also home to over 300 species of bird.
Nights are spent in fly camps (comprising dome tents with hot bucket showers and short-drop toilets) along the way.
DAY 4: DEPARTURE
Today your Botswana safari comes to an end, as you are road transferred to Selinda Airstrip for your onwards travel arrangements.
