Day 1 & 2: Kalahari and Makgadikgadi Pans
Upon your arrival at the Maun airport, you will be met by a South Africa 365 representative who will assist you onto your flight to the Makgadikgadi Pans. This 30min flight will take you to the edge of these pans, where you will spend 3 nights staying in luxury tents under the palm trees in the unique desert landscape bordering the Magkadigkadi Salt Pans.
The following two days will be spent in the remarkable unique desert experience, visiting huge baobab trees, interacting with habituated meerkats and enjoying game drives. In the dry season, days can be spent on four wheel drive quad bikes on the pans, whilst evenings are spent outdoors watching the blanket of stars cover the sky.
Two overnights at (Jack’s Camp – high end; Camp Kalahari – medium), on a full board basis including and scheduled activities.
Day 3 & 4: Okavango Delta
After an early breakfast, say goodbye to the Makgadikgadi and return by road transfer to Maun Airport in time to catch your light aircraft in to the heart of the Okavango Delta.
The waterlogged paradise of the Okavango Delta is a wonder of the natural world, made up of an intricate network of channels and lagoons. It is home to one of the greatest diversities of African plants and animal life. Your days are spent exploring the crystal clear waters of the Okavango Delta by mokoro (dugout canoe) or by foot, always with a qualified guide on hand to show you the gems of this remarkable area.
Two overnights at (Chief’s Camp / Little Kwara Camp– high end; Camp Okavango – medium) (including options in the Moremi and Chiefs Island area, your consultant will advise you which is best), on a full board basis including park fees and scheduled activities.
Day 5 & 7: Chobe National Park
Take a direct flight from the Okavango Delta into Kasane Airport, located less than 10 minutes away from the Chobe National Park. A South Africa 365 representative will meet you to transfer you directly to your Chobe Safari Lodge.
The Chobe River front in Chobe National Park has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Huge herds of migratory elephant move seasonally across the Chobe National Park, and the park has an abundance of major species and apex predators like lion, leopard and wild dog.
Days are spent in safari vehicles tracking wildlife, fishing for the feisty tiger fish or simply having sundowners aboard a boat on the Chobe River.
Two overnights at (Chobe Chilwero – high end; Chobe Safari Lodge – medium), on a full board basis including park fees and scheduled activities.
You will then be transfered by road from your lodge to Kasane Airport, where your tour will comes to an end.
