Plettenberg Park is an exclusive and unique hotel found in the heart of the South African Garden Route and yet only minutes away from the holiday mecca of Plettenberg Bay. The hotel is situated in a private nature reserve, nestling on a cliffs edge, offering guests dramatically sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. Accommodation:

The original wing consists of five bedrooms, (One Large twin Sea Facing, one small twin sea facing, one small double pool facing and two large twin lake facing) while the new wing consists of three large double sea facing and two large twin sea facing rooms. A total of ten rooms are on offer. Unrivalled views of the Cape’s beautiful coastline are a dominant presence. Each room has a private balcony to allow you to enjoy the view. Rooms contain large sleigh beds (single and double) with ample cupboard space, under floor heating, fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD player, in room safe, gowns and slippers, in room magazines. There is a mini bar with a full range of snacks and beverages. Each bathroom has a separate bath and shower. Guest amenities include bath oil, salts and bubble bath as well as plush bathrobes and slippers. The ten rooms are comprised: Two twin lake facing, Four twin sea facing, One double pool facing, Three double sea facing.

The chef will discuss the menus with you in person during the day and will happily create a menu around your specific needs or preferences, ensuring that the presented fare is always exactly to your liking and taste. Whether it be mussels, freshly harvested that day, freshly caught line-fish expertly prepared, a chicken dish, or a rack of tender ‘Karoo’ lamb, the cuisine is guaranteed to tantalize and seduce. Activities:

Plettenberg Park is situated on 200-hectare piece of land with approximately three km of cliff faced shoreline. The park abounds with small game and animals such as grysbok, mongoose, baboons, bushbuck and cape clawless otter as well as several species of snake. Over sixty-five bird species have been noted on the reserve including loerie, herons, falcons, crowned eagles, spotted eagle owls, giant kingfishers, sunbirds and cormorants. A network of walking paths allows you to explore the area for yourself. Plettenberg Park has an outstanding coastline which is an excellent platform from which to view the humpback whales that visit this stretch of ocean in winter, as well as the numerous schools of dolphin that are playful residents all year round. Plettenberg Park offers the best high quality trail horse ride in South Africa along coastal fynbos trials and through the indigenous forests. Relax in the sun at our cove beach situated below the hotel, or spend the day around the hotel swimming pool whilst savoring all the amenities on offer. Boat trips can be arranged to view the seals, dolphins, sharks, penguins, sea-birds and whales.
