DAY 1 – 4: IBO ISLAND

You are greeted on arrival in Pemba and transferred by light aircraft over the breathtaking palm-fringed tropical islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago to the historical island of Ibo.

One of the most pristine destinations in Africa, Ibo bursts at the seams with culture and tradition of Arabic, African and Portuguese traders. Northern Mozambique’s best-kept secret, Ibo Island is rich in culture and history, boasting three historical forts and numerous ancient buildings.

On your Mozambique holiday you are spoiled for choice if you love sea, sand, sun and culture. Enjoy activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, bird watching, traditional dhow excursions and fishing. Take a cultural island tour and learn about the Mozambique culture and the island’s unique history of slaves, pirates, silver and ivory. For those in need of pampering, traditional massage treatments are also available.

DAY 4 – 8: MATEMO ISLAND

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE

After eight days of discovering Mozambique’s culture and tropical beaches, bid farewell to the islands as you fly on to Pemba to connect with your onward flights, concluding your Mozambique beach holiday.
