Your Natal Battlefields Day Tour starts as you are picked up from your Durban hotel and transferred in a luxury microbus or luxury mini coach. Your journey takes you on a scenic drive through Pietermaritzburg, the capital city of KwaZulu Natal, passing sugar cane fields and forest areas to Greytown, the birth place of General Louis Botha.

From here on you will experience the Natal hinterland, and proceed to the rural areas of Tugela Ferry and Pomeroy. Here you can view locals in their traditional dress and an array of traditional beehive-shaped huts, and proceed to Fugitives’ Drift - the grave site of Lt. Gognill and Lt. Melville.

Your journey continues to Rourke’s Drift Museum where you’ll be able to view a spectacular display of the Anglo-Zulu War which gives an audiovisual depiction of the Rourke’s Drift battles and many others. Your final stop is a visit to the battlefields of Isandlawana where you’ll discover the remarkable story of the spear-wielding Zulu tribe who defeated a mighty British Army.
