DAY 1: WINDHOEK

After arrival in Namibia, you proceed via scenic, mountainous terrain to Windhoek - the capital city of Namibia. Your accommodation is situated in a quiet suburb and close to the city centre with its Afro-European flair and peaceful atmosphere. Spend the evening enjoying typical Namibian cuisine at one of the numerous restaurants in the city.

DAY 2: LAKE OANOB RESORT

After breakfast, you travel the short distance to Lake Oanob Resort. Apart from relaxing and enjoying the unspoilt landscape, you have a wide variety of water- and land-based activities to choose from on your Namibia safari. Some of these include game drives, fishing, waterskiing, boat cruises, swimming or canoeing.

DAY 3: MESOSAURUS FOSSIL CAMP

This morning your Namibia safari continues further south, into endless plains dotted with dolerite hills and desert-adapted vegetation. You’ll make a stop at Namibia’s Quiver Tree Forest and Giants’ Playground – a series of massive dolerite boulders seeming to have been placed on top of one another by some gigantic force. Spend a few hours exploring the interesting rock formations and take advantage of the excellent photographic opportunities.

DAY 4: FISH RIVER CANYON

After breakfast, travel the short distance to the magnificent Fish River Canyon - the second largest of its kind on earth. Here you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy this natural phenomenon, with its awesome splendour and adapted fauna and flora on a scenic walk along the ridge of the canyon. After the visit, travel to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 5 – 6: ORANGE RIVER

Your Namibia safari proceeds via a scenically magnificent road to the Orange River - demarcating the natural border between Namibia and South Africa. Here, the dry desert landscape changes to a green oasis facing the black basalt mountain massifs of South Africa. Your bungalow is situated on a ledge above the river, giving you an amazing view over the lushly vegetated waterway. The next day you have at leisure, where you can enjoy a canoeing day trip, take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool or simply relax in your pristine natural surroundings.

DAY 7: DUWISIB CASTLE

Following the course of the Orange River, your Namibia safari continues as you travel along the edge of the Sperrgebiet National Park through the world’s most diverse desert. Here over 6000 different succulent species are found, which light up the endless plains with a diversity of colours after the winter rains. Your campsite is situated on the grounds of an enigmatic castle, built by a German nobleman in the beginning of the last century. Explore the castle and the surrounds on foot, before enjoying a delicious dinner around the campfire.

DAY 8: SOSSUSVLEI AREA

After breakfast you travel along stretches of grass plains interspersed with huge mountain ranges into the area of Sossusvlei. You’ll spend the night at the only campsite in the Namib Naukluft Park. On your Namibia safari, visit Sesriem Canyon - a 30-meter deep gauge eroded into the desert floor by the forces of the mighty Tsauchab River, after which you enjoy a sundowner walk onto Elim Dune.

DAY 9: SOSSUSVLEI AREA

Today calls for an early rise. Travel into the Namib Naukluft Park one hour prior to sunrise and watch the dawning day at Sossusvlei. Here, sunrise paints the highest sand dunes on earth into an artwork of awe- inspiring proportions. After taking a walk along or even up some of the majestic dunes, visit the spectacular Dead Vlei. Travel back to your camp, where the rest of the day is spent at leisure.

DAY 10 – 11: SWAKOPMUND

After breakfast, your Namibia tour continues through two rugged passes and via the Welwitschia plains and the Moonlandscape to Swakopmund. Better known as Namibia’s playground, this idyllic town is wedged between the sweltering Namib Desert and the cold Atlantic Ocean. On your Namibia holiday, enjoy numerous activities, including scenic flights, boat trips, desert tours and quad biking adventures.

DAY 12: SPITZKOPPE

Leaving Swakopmund behind, depart for Spitzkoppe - a massive granite inselberg also referred to as the ‘Matterhorn of Namibia’. After setting up camp, you have the opportunity to climb some of the magnificent boulders, enjoying the vistas across the Namib Desert. Explore the Namib Desert on foot and see the amazing rock formations created by erosion over millions of years. Here you will also find ancient Bushman rock art. End the day with a delicious dinner around the campfire in one of the most pristine natural environments Namibia has to offer.

DAY 13: DAMARALAND

After breakfast, travel deeper into Damaraland, where some of the most exciting geological attractions on the African continent are found. On your Namibia tour, visit a traditional Damara village - the original inhabitants of Namibia. Your camp is situated along the banks of the Aba Huab River, where seasonally the Desert elephant can be seen.

DAY 14: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Your Namibia tour continues with a stop at Twyfelfontein – a World Heritage site and an “open air art gallery” that boasts over 2500 different Bushman rock engravings and rock paintings. En route to your safari camp, visit the Petrified Forest, where pre-historic tree trunks jut out between patches of Welwitschia, after which you visit a traditional Himba village. After experiencing one of the last truly nomadic tribes on earth, head to your camp, which is situated close to the gate of the world-renowned Etosha National Park.

DAY 15: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Enter the Etosha National Park and enjoy the entire day on a game driving through one of the most diverse game sanctuaries on earth. Home to 114 species of mammal and 300 different species of bird, you may enjoy spectacular wildlife viewings on your Namibia safari, including impala, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, springbok, lion, hyena, elephant, jackal, fox and many more. Overnight at a camp situated within the park.

DAY 16: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

After sunrise, you again have the entire day for excellent game drives in the park. On your Namibia safari, enjoy the sight of a prancing springbok and playful animals announcing the start of another glorious day on safari. Tonight you are again accommodated inside the park.

DAY 17: WATERBERG

Your Namibia safari continues south to the Waterberg Plateau. Rising like an enormous fort above the surrounding plains, the Waterberg Plateau is one of the most scenic locations in Namibia. On this leg of your Namibia tour, enjoy scenic walks or guided nature safaris on the Plateau.

DAY 18: WINDHOEK

Enjoy a pre-breakfast walk along one of the scenic mountain trails before travelling south towards Windhoek. Take a unique double-decker tour through the capital city. Here, you are accommodated close to the city centre.

After a hearty breakfast, travel the short distance to the international airport, where you drop off your hired vehicle, concluding your Namibia tour.
