DAY 1 – 5: GORONGOSA NATIONAL PARK

A 3.5-hour road transfer will take you from Beira to Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park. Situated in the heart of central Mozambique, Gorongosa National Park is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora.

Explore Gorongosa’s diverse wilderness on activities such as game drives, birding safaris and nature walks guided by local experts. On your Mozambique safari you may enjoy spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities of lion, elephant, buffalo, sable, impala, oribi, bushbuck, reedbuck, kudu, nyala, waterbuck, zebra, hartebeest and eland, as well as 400 species of bird.

Accommodation is at Explore Gorongosa on a full board basis.

DAY 5 – 9: BAZARUTO ISLAND

Today you will board a charter flight from Gorongosa National Park and fly direct to Bazaruto Island, arriving in time for lunch.

The largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago, Bazaruto Island is an untouched tropical paradise – earning its reputation as the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’. On your Mozambique beach holiday, your days will be spent enjoying stretches of white sand beaches and discovering Mozambique’s pristine coral reefs, which offer some of the best diving in the world. Other activities include snorkelling, fishing, dhow cruises, romantic beach picnics, bird watching, island walks, cultural village visits, sea kayaking, catamaran cruises and horse riding.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE

An exciting helicopter transfer takes you on a scenic flight from Benguerra Lodge to the mainland of Vilanculos where you’ll connect with your onward flight to Johannesburg, concluding your Mozambique beach and bush holiday.
