General Information:
Motswiri Camp is located in the west of the 300,000 acre Selinda Reserve. This “authentic safari styled” camp is situated along the banks of the Selinda Spillway on the eastern reaches of the Okavango Delta. Located within a grove of russet bush willow and lead wood trees. It is unique in character because it’s neither typical 'Okavango delta' nor typical 'Linyanti'.
Accommodation:
The camp is booked as a private camp, sleeping a maximum of eight guests. Flexibility is standard i.e. guests set the pace of their stay and timings of their activities; variety of activities. The Selinda Spillway in this area is 'croc and hippo friendly' meaning guests can swim, canoe (no mokoroing), fish, have meals in the water etc; walking encouraged; bush dinners; hide with hammocks are also encouraged.
Dining:
The ‘mess tent’ reminds one of a by-gone safari era. A comfortable lounge and dining room are under canvas and are complemented by the outdoor fireplace where meals can also be enjoyed. The view of the spillway is the dominant feature of the main area.
Activities:
Activities available/describe game vehicles (number of pax per vehicle), boats etc: We do game drives throughout the day centred on early morning and late afternoon/early evening game drives. Short or full morning walks can be arranged and are led by licensed guides who are firearm experienced. Also fishing and canoeing (in sturdy “Canadian” canoes) depending on the water level.
