DAY 1 – 3: CHONGWE RIVER CAMP, LOWER ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK
Upon your arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met by a South Africa 365 representative and transferred for your flight to Lower Zambezi National Park. On arrival at the Royal Airstrip you’ll be road transferred to Chongwe River Camp, your base for the duration of your Lower Zambezi safari.
A luxury bush camp, Chongwe River Camp is situated in a pristine wilderness area of the Lower Zambezi National Park. You’ll be staying in well-appointed Mulati tents under thatch with a luxurious open-air en suite bathroom.
On your Lower Zambezi safari, your days will be spent exploring the secrets of the Lower Zambezi National Park on guided walking safaris, game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, canoeing and motor-boating. Home to diverse fauna and flora, the Lower Zambezi National Park offers spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hippo, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, crocodile, impala, warthog and an increasing number of wild dogs. The park also boasts exceptional bird life, including fish eagle, white-fronted and carmine bee-eaters, red-winged pratincole, crested guinea fowl, black eagle, narina trogan, trumpeter hornbill, Meyer’s parrot, Lillian’s lovebird and many more. On your Lower Zambezi safari, you may also have the opportunity to fish for the mighty Tiger fish.
Accommodation is at Chongwe River Camp on a full board basis, including park fees and scheduled activities.
DAY 4: DEPARTURE
After a hearty breakfast, your Lower Zambezi safari comes to an end, as you are transferred to the Royal Airstrip for your journey home.
