Differing flight routings are available to Kruger, including daily flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Kruger airports, with onwards lodge hops directly to your lodge of choice. Departing from Johannesburg, you are able to fly directly to the landing strip of your Kruger lodge (please note light aircraft luggage restrictions of 20kgs preferably in soft bags).
On your departure leg from Kruger, the options to add another destination to your itinerary are endless, you can now fly onwards directly to, Cape Town, Victoria Falls or Mozambique.
Self-Driving the Kruger: Our self-drive Kruger safari holidays are perfect for anyone with a sense of adventure. Good road networks are available from Johannesburg and the driving distance is approximately 600 kilometres (375 miles), dependant on where in the Kruger you will be visiting. You will conduct your own safari in the Kruger National Park (not the private reserves) and accommodation is available in the Kruger National Park or just outside its borders. We suggest this option if clients have at least 6 days at their disposal and wish to explore areas en-route, such as the Panorama Route, Bourkes Luck potholes, and the remnants of the gold rush at Pilgrims Rest.
Scheduled Kruger Tours: With our Kruger scheduled tours you will join a group of like-minded travellers (generally meeting in Johannesburg) and will explore the Kruger Park on a pre-defined itinerary. These tours are our most affordable method of exploring the park, and Kruger scheduled tours generally have a team orientated approach on safari, where you will assist with certain menial tasks. These tours are fully guided and catered safaris.
