DAY 1 – 4: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Arrive at Johannesburg Airport and catch your connecting flight to the world famous Kruger National Park. As you step off the plane and into Big 5 territory, your game ranger will be waiting for you at the landing strip to transfer you to Jock Safari Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights.

The largest game reserve in South Africa, the Kruger National Park is a wildlife sanctuary like no other. Set in the heart of the African bush, the Kruger National Park is scenically spectacular with gorges, grasslands and mountains. The park carries one of the world’s greatest diversities of species, including more than 100 mammal species and almost 500 species of birds.

Your Kruger bush safari starts early with a hot cup of coffee and biscuits, before heading out into the bush to experience the wonders of Africa. On your morning game drive you are accompanied by experienced rangers in 4x4 safari vehicles, in search of predators hunting for their morning feast. After the morning game drive, you head back to the lodge where a hearty breakfast awaits you. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and relax beside the pool, enjoy an afternoon siesta or have drinks on the deck, while staring out into the bush.

Late afternoon brings with it another game drive and the chance of spotting some of the rarer nocturnal creatures. After enjoying sundowners in the open bush, head back to the lodge just in time for dinner, where exciting tales of the day’s adventures are shared over a glass of fine South African wine.

From Jock Safari Lodge, you will be transferred to Mpumulanga Airport, for a direct flight into Vilanculos in Mozambique to begin your beach holiday.

DAY 4 – 8: MOZAMBIQUE

Upon your arrival at Marlin Lodge on the Bazaruto Archipelago, you will be greeted by beautiful beaches, turquoise waters and swaying palms. With its welcoming atmosphere, quirky Portuguese, Arab and African mix, Mozambique has an exotic feel.

Your days will be spent relaxing and unwinding on Mozambique’s pristine white beaches. If you are looking for something a little more active on your Mozambican beach holiday, there is plenty on offer. Explore the beautiful coral reefs which abound with all types of sea creatures by scuba diving and snorkelling. Other activities include fishing, horse riding along the beach, solitary walks along the white sandy shores and trips on board a dhow (traditional sailing boat).

From Marlin Lodge you will be flown to Johannesburg for the end of your beach and bush tour to catch your onward connection.
