Day 1 - 4: Jock Safari Lodge: Kruger National Park Safari

Arrive at Johannesburg Airport and catch your connecting flight on to the world famous Kruger National Park. Step off the plane and into Big 5 country, your game ranger will be waiting for you at the landing strip to transfer you to Jock Safari Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights.

As South Africa’s largest and most renowned National Park, the Kruger contains the world’s greatest variety of wildlife. Your typical day starts off early with a cup of coffee and biscuits before heading out into the bush to experience the wonders of Africa. Skilled rangers and open 4x4 safari vehicles will soon have you within an arms length of Africa’s wildest creatures. After the morning game drive it’s back to the lodge where a sumptuous breakfast awaits you and then the day is yours to relax around the pool, catch up on some rest time or reading, or simply have drinks on the deck while staring out into the bush.

Late afternoon brings with it another game drive and the chance of seeing a whole different set of animals. Typically these drives carry on into the early stages of the night so there is always the chance of spotting some of the rarer nocturnal animals. Sundowners in the open bush will be remembered for years to come, and back at the lodge for dinner exciting tales of the days adventures are swapped over a glass of fine South African wine and excellent meals. 

From Jock Safari Lodge, you will be transferred to Mpumulanga Airport, for a direct flight into Vilanculos in Mozambique to begin your beach vacation.

Day 4 - 8: Marlin Lodge: Mozambique Beach

Arrive in Marlin Lodge on the Bazaruto Archipelago for 4 days of pristine white beaches, superb seafood cuisine and glorious sunshine. With its welcoming atmosphere, quirky Portugese, Arab and African mix, Mozambique has a charm of welcoming every one of its visitors.

Once you arrive at Marlin Lodge, all you need to do is unwind an relax in this pristine environment. If you are looking for someting a little more active, there is plenty on offer. Mozambiques coral reefs abound with all types of sea creatures which is why Mozambique is one of the premiere scuba diving destinations worldwide. Other activities include fishing, horse riding along the beach, solitary walks along the white sandy shores, snorkelling and trips on board a dhow (traditional Arab sailing boat).

From Marlin Lodge you will be flown directly back to Johannesburg for the end of your beach and bush tour and to catch your onward connection.
