Jaci's Safari Lodge masterfully blends into its surroundings, encompassing a magnificent main area built round an ancient termite mound. The location was discovered and the concept envisaged by Jan in combination with Jaci's colourful decorating style and attention to detail. You are sure of a memorable and unique Safari experience.
Accommodation:
Featuring only 8 rooms and 2 exclusive family suites - the Nare Suite and the Safari Suite - utilizing a stunning combination of stone, canvas and shaggy thatch roves creating a true safari atmosphere, inviting you to enjoy your bush surroundings. Early risers may catch a glimpse of Bush Babies returning to roost in the trees around the rooms or enjoy the morning Francolin add a space here pleasecalls. The generous Main Lodge consists of a spacious lounge and open plan dining area with uninterrupted views of the surrounding bushveld.
Jaci's Safari Lodge is an exclusive "bush retreat"- so named because of the resident Buffalo Bull who frequents the waterhole in front of the Suite (along with the numerous other animal visitors) - accommodating a maximum of 4 to a maximum of 6 guests in bush luxury and privacy. The Nare Suite bedrooms each have open plan bathrooms, with a hand made "rock" bath and outdoor "safari" shower. An upstairs loft room is ideal for children and features it's own toilet. A wooden viewing deck overlooks a fabulous water hole and encompasses a private swimming pool. The lounge and outdoor dining area, is equipped with a self contained kitchen - where our chefs can prepare meals for you in the luxury of your own retreat - should you so desire. Equipped with a private game vehicle and professional guide you are assured of a bush breakaway to be remembered and repeated. Renovations are finished and the Safari Suite is looking fabulous - with 2 double bedrooms and 2 children's rooms this is the ideal family suite. Beautifully positioned overlooking the Marico River with a private pool and wrap around decks, the newest addition to Jaci's Safari Lodge is a must for families wanting to stay close in close proximity to each other but not necessarily in the same room. Dining:
Meals are prepared in an ultra modern kitchen, in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the boma under the stars, or out in the bush on a "braai", surrounded by nature. There is also a well-stocked craft shop. Jaci's Safari Lodge now has a fully equipped gym, overlooking the river and situated between Jaci's Safari Lodge and Jaci's Tree Lodge. Between the early morning and evening game drives and walks, there is a cool swimming pool overlooking the river. Lie in a hammock, sip an ice-cold drink, watch the birds, the butterflies and beasts, relax, unwind. The day, the place, the ambience are yours, in peace.
Activities:
Jaci's Lodges offer guided early morning and evening game drives or walks, and in between you can see more game at the lodge waterhole. On your malaria-free safari in South Africa you may like to lounge around the pool, paddle your own canoe on the Marico River, lie in a hammock or sip ice cold drinks on your private veranda. Expect to see a wide variety of game and many different species of birds on game viewing activities. Game drives daily in the mornings and evenings or walks with knowledgeable and experienced guides are part of Jaci's Safari Lodge African experience.
Jaci's Lodges welcome children of all ages and offers a family friendly safari experience. Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own game drive during the day. This kiddie's drive is geared totally to the children's interests and age level. The children's dinner is served at 18:00 as no children are allowed in the boma for the evening meal. Children aged 8 to 12 on the Game Drives with their parents are also given an earlier dinner in the dining room, when they return from the Game Drive.
