Hamilton’s Tented Camp is an exclusive safari camp situated in a private concession of the Kruger National Park. Boasting an ‘Out of Africa’ atmosphere, Hamilton’s Tented Camp presents guests with a unique personal safari experience in the heart of the African wilderness.

Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, one of the founders of the world-renowned Kruger National Park, Hamilton’s Tented Camp reflects the grace and elegance of a bygone era. Combining an authentic African safari with luxury and privacy, Hamilton’s Tented Camp ensures an unforgettable South African holiday.

The area is home to creatures big and small, and wildlife roams freely in the reserve.  Guests may enjoy spectacular wildlife sightings of Africa’s Big 5 (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo) as well as a diverse variety of antelope, birds and insects.

Rooms

Hamilton’s Tented Camp comprises six canvas tents which accommodate a maximum total of 12 guests. Each luxury tent has a romantic bath and an outdoor shower overlooking the Ngwenyeni Dam. The tents are linked by timber walkways and are fitted with mosquito nets, air-conditioning, an intercom service and a private veranda.

Dining

Hamilton’s Tented Camp offers silver-service dining, overlooking the tranquil river, where international cuisine with an African flair is prepared to satisfy your palate. Meals are accompanied by a renowned wine list. Bush picnics and romantic private dining can also be arranged.

Activities

Guests at Hamilton’s Tented Camp can enjoy activities such as game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, guided bush walks and bird watching in the hide overlooking the waterhole. Take a refreshing dip in the lodge’s swimming pool in between safari activities, and pamper yourself with wellness treatments by the African Spa team.
