Edo’s Camp is a luxury tented camp, shaded by a canopy of ancient leadwood trees. Set in a remote wildlife sanctuary in the Kalahari Desert, Edo’s Camp boasts an attractive setting - providing an atmosphere of endless tranquillity.
Offering a rich cultural experience, the conservancy is home to the indigenous San Bushmen people, who provide a fascinating perspective of what traditional life is all about – ensuring a truly memorable Kalahari safari.
Seven of Botswana’s endangered white rhino population may be spotted in the area. The vast plains surrounding Edo’s Camp offer prime game-viewing opportunities and sightings of giraffe, brown hyena, warthog, wild dog, leopard, lion, gemsbok, springbok, kudu and eland.
Rooms
Edo’s Camp offers accommodation in four Meru-style tents, decorated in an African theme. Set under thatch, the tents are fitted with twin-beds, a dresser, and wardrobe, as well as offering an en-suite bathroom with shower, flush toilet and bath for additional comfort. Tents have wooden decks complete with canvas loungers, camp chairs and a table – offering a perfect spot for viewing game who come to the waterhole to quench their thirst.
Dining
Enjoy a hearty breakfast of cereals, juices, cereals, juice, toast, sausages, bacon, beans, cooked tomatoes and your choice of eggs. Lunch is served buffet-style and consists of a selection of salads, light dishes and freshly baked bread. Dinner is a three-course affair and guests can indulge in wholesome farm fare, followed by home-made amarula ice cream or a freshly baked cake.
Activities
Guests at Edo’s Camp can enjoy a variety of activities including white rhino tracking, night and day game drives, powerboat and mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trips, nature walks, birding, spin fishing and cultural excursions to the Bushmen village. The lodge’s swimming pool provides cool relief from the Kalahari heat, and a gift gallery offers souvenirs of your Kalahari safari.
