Eagle Island Camp is a luxury tented camp, situated on the remote Xaxaba Island. Set in a natural oasis surrounded by Illala Palms and the vast Kalahari Desert, Eagle Island Camp provides a tranquil and intimate setting.

Hidden on the edge of a forest where land and water meet, Eagle Island Camp presents the ultimate luxury safari paradise. This secluded retreat offers guests the opportunity to experience the unspoiled natural wilderness of the magnificent Okavango Delta.

Eagle Island Camp hosts a diverse wildlife population including the Big 5 (elephant, buffalo, lion, rhino and leopard) as well as the endangered African wild dog. The area boasts a prolific birdlife with over 400 species to more than keep the interest of avid bird watchers.

Rooms

Eagle Island Camp comprises 12 luxury thatch roof tents. Raised on wooden platforms, tents have a large private deck furnished with easy chairs and a hammock - ideal for viewing wildlife. Designed for comfort, twin-bedded tents offer an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, hairdryer, private fully stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, tea/coffee making facilities, fan and mosquito netting.

For those who require a high degree of privacy, the Private Suite is secluded from the rest of the camp. Offering an intimate safari experience, this exclusive suite boasts a heated splash pool, open air double showers, a beautiful, deep copper-framed Victorian bath and many other luxurious indulgences.

Dining

Eagle Island Camp offers delicious Pan-African and Cape Malay cuisine. Dine under the African skies in open-air dining, bar and lounge areas, and covered dining areas are also available. Eagle Island Camp has an off-site bush dining venue where guests can dine in the seclusion of true African nature. Soothing sundowners are served in the Fish Eagle Bar, renowned for its romantic setting.

Activities
