Dunes Lodge is set against a backdrop of unparalleled beauty, offering fantastic vistas and panoramas. Perched on top of a dune plateau, Dunes Lodge combines luxury accommodation with the great outdoors, presenting honeymooners and discerning travellers with a unique desert experience.

Capturing the desert landscape in an intimate and memorable way, Dunes Lodge’s building style combines timber structures with canvas blinds - reflecting the ambiance of a tented camp, but providing the comfort and protection of a permanent building.

Situated in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Dunes Lodge is a nature lover’s paradise with wildlife such as kudu, klipspringer, baboon and leopard inhabiting the rocky areas, while springbok, red hartebeest, spotted hyena, Cape Fox and African wildcats can be spotted in the reserve.

Rooms

Dunes Lodge offers accommodation in nine spacious chalets. Constructed on wooden platforms, chalets boast a private veranda, offering spectacular desert views. Each chalet has its own en-suite bathroom fitted with hot shower, 2 washbasins, and flush toilet, while additional complimentary soaps and sensuous lotions add a touch of luxury.

For those who seek the ultimate in privacy and exclusivity, the secluded Mountain Suite offers ideal lodging. This luxurious suite boasts a spacious bedroom, lounge, dining area and an open-plan kitchenette. A special attraction is the star-gazing bed incorporated into the main veranda, providing a wonderful sleep-out venue.

Dining

Dunes Lodge offers delectable Pan-African cuisine. Start your day with a breakfast buffet consisting of freshly baked breads, a selection of fruit, salad, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats, and cooked options are also available. For lunch, enjoy a picnic in the desert, or a choice of light meals at the lodge. Dinner is a delicious three-course or four-course affair, complimented with a selection of fine wines housed in the subterranean wine cellar. Unwind and end off the day with refreshing drinks on the sundowner deck.

Activities

Cool off on warm summer days in the lodge’s refreshing swimming pool, or relax with a soothing massage. For those who wish to explore the Namib, an array of activities can be arranged at Dunes Lodge including morning and afternoon drives, nature walks, scenic flights, hot-air ballooning, hiking and mountaineering.
