Chief’s Camp is nestled on the remote Chief’s Island - providing guests with an exclusive oasis in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Designed for ultimate privacy and comfort, this secluded camp offers honeymooners and holiday-makers the perfect safari getaway.

Set in the African bush, Chief’s camp is shaded by a beautiful grove of jackalberry, sausage and rain trees, blending in with the natural landscape - offering luxury accommodation in a traditional African safari camp.

Chief’s Camp is situated in the exclusive Mombo concession of the Moremi Game Reserve, home to the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, lion and buffalo) and presenting the ultimate safari experience. The unique layout of the camp provides guests with superb opportunities to view game in their natural environment, without having to leave Chief’s Camp.

Rooms

Chief’s Camp comprises 12 luxurious bush pavilions. Designed and furnished in true opulence and style, each room offers en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower, spacious seating area, two wardrobes, writing desk and a private deck with hammock and deck chairs. Ensuring your comfort, rooms are equipped with mosquito net, hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe, emergency intercom and mini-bar. Three of the suites have king-size beds, while the remaining nine are fitted with twin beds.

Dining

Chief’s Camp cuisine is a fusion of Western and African influences, served with a selection of fine vintage wines. Meals can be taken in the main lodge’s inviting dining area, or, in true al-fresco African style, gourmet dinners can be savoured under the African stars. End off the day with sundowners around the boma campfire while sharing bush stories with other guests.

Activities

Escape the African sun with a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, and pamper yourself with a range of revitalising treatments at the spa. For a more active day, the camp offers outdoor activities including game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions and scenic flights over the shimmering Okavango Delta.
