Camp Moremi is set on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon amongst giant ebony trees – offering you luxurious comfort for your holiday in the African wilderness. Surrounded by ancient Mopane forests, open grasslands, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats, Camp Moremi provides a welcoming wildlife sanctuary.

Situated in the pristine Moremi Game Reserve, Camp Moremi boasts a diverse habitat that supports a wide variety of animals, with possible sightings of wild dog, cheetah and leopard. Resident species include lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, hyena, zebra, kudu, red lechwe, sable and roan antelope and many more, ensuring the ultimate safari experience.

The focal point of the camp is the famous elevated Moremi Tree Lodge, an elegant thatch and timber structure. It houses the luxurious main lounge, a wildlife reference library, dining room and stylishly decorated cocktail bar, all shaded by giant ebony trees and offering panoramic views of the lagoon.

Rooms

Camp Moremi comprises 11 East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Tents are elegantly furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs. Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. Each tent has its own private bathroom and private deck – perfect for viewing the spectacular surroundings.

Dining

Camp Moremi offers traditional safari fare served with a Pan-African touch, all accompanied by fine wines. Enjoy a welcome song performed every night by the waiters and kitchen staff while indulging in authentic African dishes served in the Tree Lodge’s dining room, or enjoy a barbeque in the boma area. Camp Moremi caters to all dietary requirements.

Activities

Activities at Camp Moremi include tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles and exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango waterways by motorboat. Other activities include bird watching, fly fishing and nature walks.
