Andersson’s Camp is set against a backdrop of the low Ondundozonanandana Mountains, surrounded by an assortment of breathtaking fauna and flora. Providing an authentic, safe and down-to-earth experience - Andersson’s Camp is a model eco-sensitive lodge.
A former farmstead, Andersson’s Camp has been tastefully rebuilt with parts of the original structure incorporated into this innovative and chic eco-retreat that offers guests a truly unique stay. The main area is the old farmhouse itself which opens onto a spacious dining area, overlooking a waterhole where guests can safely enjoy watching black and white rhino, lion, springbok, wildebeest, red hartebeest, elephant, giraffe and zebra coming to quench their thirst.
The fantastic arid area surrounding Andersson’s Camp also boasts a variety of birdlife which include Ostrich, Kori Bustard, Namaqua Sandgrouse, Double-banded Courser, Yellow-bellied Eremomela, Spike-heeled Lark and raptors like Greater Kestrel.
Rooms
Andersson’s Camp is a modern retreat that comprises 20 luxurious en-suite tents including 2 family units - each with two separate rooms connected by a boardwalk with a shared entrance. Tents have stone cladding walls, canvas roofs and are equipped with a mosquito net, fan and tea/coffee making facilities. Enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding plains on the private veranda and for a truly African experience, splash off the dust in the outdoor shower.
Dining
All meals and drinks at Andersson’s Camp are served in the restaurants lapa area. Start your day with a buffet breakfast and order lunch and dinner from the chef's a-la carte menu. Wine and dine under the stars or have a nightcap or two around the alluring camp fire.
Activities
Escape from the heat of the African sun by cooling off in the pool or explore the wide variety of wildlife surrounding Andersson’s Camp on nature walks. Guests may self-drive and enjoy day trips into Etosha National Park or book game drives (day and night) on Ongava Game Reserve.
