DAY 1 – 3: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
Fly less than 1 hour from Johannesburg to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Your Kruger safari begins as you step off the plane and onto Big 5 territory. Your game ranger will be waiting for you at the landing strip to transfer you to Simbavati River Lodge, your home for the next three nights.
Your days on a Kruger safari start off early with a cup of coffee and biscuits, before heading out into the vast African bush on your morning game drive. Accompanied by skilled rangers, you will set off in open 4x4 safari vehicles in search of the Big 5 (rhino, leopard, elephant, lion and buffalo). Head back to the lodge where a sumptuous breakfast awaits you and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Late afternoon brings with it another game drive and the chance of seeing some of the rarer nocturnal animals. Enjoy refreshing sundowners in the bush and return to the lodge just in time for a delicious dinner.
Following three nights at Simbavati River Lodge (including all meals and 2 game drives daily), you will road transfer by road to Mpumalanga airport for your connecting flight onwards to Cape Town.
DAY 4 – 6: CAPE TOWN AND THE CAPE WINELANDS
Upon your arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by a South Africa 365 representative and transferred to the Portswood Hotel, situated in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Dominated by Table Mountain and surrounded by the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. An ideal South African holiday destination, Cape Town has a host of top tourist attractions for you to enjoy during your stay in the ‘Mother City’ which includes trips to the Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the Malay Quarter and much more.
Your Cape Town holiday wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the scenic Cape Winelands. Set amidst majestic mountains and lush vineyards, the Cape Winelands is the largest wine producing region in South Africa. Spend the day visiting world-famous vineyards, sampling fine wines and seeing the intricate processes used to produce them.
After 4 stunning days (3 nights) at Portswood Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, you will catch your flight to Johannesburg and onwards to Victoria Falls.

DAY 7 – 8: VICTORIA FALLS
Catch your connecting flight to Victoria Falls Airport and 1.5 hours later you will be touching down in Zimbabwe, right next to the majestic Victoria Falls. You will be met at the airport by a South Africa 365 representative and transferred to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, an excellent location to view the thundering Falls.
A natural wonder of the world, Victoria Falls is one of the most magnificent spectacles of nature you will ever see. On your Victoria Falls holiday explore all that the area has to offer and enjoy activities such as helicopter flips, micro lighting, abseiling, bungee jumping, elephant back safaris, Zambezi River cruises and a cultural tour to Mkuni Village.
Two nights accommodation at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is on a bed and breakfast basis.
DAY 9 – 10: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
After spending 3 glorious days at Victoria Falls, you will be met for a 1.5 hour road transfer to Chobe Safari Lodge, situated on the banks of the Chobe River in Botswana.
On your Chobe safari, your days will be spent exploring the Chobe National Park, which has one of the highest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Track the Big 5 (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino) on game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles and cruise along the Chobe River on specially adapted motorboats, while enjoying refreshing sundowners. Fishing excursions for the mighty Tiger fish are also available at an additional cost.
After 3 days at Chobe Safari Lodge on a full board basis, you are transferred to Victoria Falls Airport and onwards to Johannesburg airport.
Please note: During the Botswana excursions to Chobe National Park, many of our clients elect to add two nights in the famous Okavango Delta for a birding and mokoro (dugout canoe) safari experience. This is an easy extension and if time allows, justifies the additional cost.
DAY 11: ARUSHA
Fly back to Johannesburg, and connect with your flight to Nairobi. Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport make your way to the terminal for your connecting flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
You will overnight in the city of Arusha which lies at the foot of Mount Meru.
DAY 12: LAKE MANYARA
The first leg of your East African portion is in the Lake Manyara National Park. Flamingos, tree climbing lions, hippos and a variety of plains game await you inside this park.
Upon your arrival at the lovely Maramboi Tented Camp, you will be greeted by stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai - a sacred mountain to the Maasai.
Accommodation is at Maramboi Tented Camp on a full board basis.
DAY 13 – 14: NGORONGORO CRATER
Your day starts early as you make your way to Lake Masek Tented Camp, situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This unique location, between December to April, is witness to the annual Wildebeest Migration. The Big 5 are also resident in the area all year round.
After a quick breakfast you will embark on a tour of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater – a World Heritage Site. Regarded as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, this collapsed volcanic caldera covers an area of 8300 square kilometres and encompasses several different ecosystems, including volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls and mountain forest, forming its own unique ecosystem. After your Ngorongoro Crater tour you return to camp in time for a delicious dinner.
DAY 15 – 16: SERENGETI
Another early start to the day as you make your way to the Serengeti. On arrival in the central Serengeti, you will be met by a guide and transferred to Dunia Camp, situated in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.
You arrive at the camp in time for lunch. Your Serengeti safari kicks off as you head out onto the Serengeti Plains in search of the national park’s famous big cats. As evening approaches, return to camp for a sundowner around the fire and a delicious dinner served under the African stars.
DAY 17: STONE TOWN
After breakfast, pack your bags and enjoy a last game drive as you make your way towards Kogatende Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Zanzibar Airport you will be met by a representative and transferred by road up to Zanzibar Serena Inn.
On your Zanzibar holiday, explore Stone Town at your own pace, either enjoying a spice tour or a historical tour (additional cost). Return to Zanzibar Serena Inn for your overnight stay with breakfast included.
DAY 18 – 20: ZANZIBAR BEACH
This morning you will be transferred to the South West Coast of the island to Zanzibar Beach Resort.
On your Zanzibar beach holiday, your days will be spent as you wish. Enjoy activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, wind surfing, swimming, fishing trips, sailing in a traditional dhow, guided tours of Jozani Forest and trips to a Spice Plantation.
In the evenings make your way to the restaurant for dinner and indulge in delicious Zanzibari cuisine.
DAY 21: DEPARTURE
Depending on your flight from Zanzibar, depart the lodge either before or after lunch, and bid farewell to your incredible African Highlights Tour as you make your way to Zanzibar Airport.
