General Information

Africa on Foot is situated in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, and offers guests an intimate and exclusive safari experience. With impressive and spectacular scenery surrounding this game lodge, guests can enjoy incredible wildlife viewing opportunities.

The Africa on Foot shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, where lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra and a whole host of other wildlife are regularly sited.

Appreciate the true essence of the African bush and enjoy the peaceful traditional setting of the Africa on Foot Camp as no vehicles are in sight and allowed in this area.  The camp facilities include a thatched main area which houses a comfortable lounge with two sitting areas and a library where guests can read about the astounding variety of wildlife surrounding this spectacular game lodge.

Rooms

Africa on Foot offers 5 comfortable chalets furnished with traditional African decor. Two of the chalets have a double bed and two single beds, making them ideal for family holidays (children of all ages are welcome at the game lodge). All chalets are equipped with lanterns, providing a romantic and intimate safari experience, ideal for honeymooners. The game lodge also has two Tree Houses with twin beds where adventurous travellers can enjoy sleep-outs under the stars.

Dining

Enjoy a cup of coffee before your morning walk in the boma area or enjoy drinks around the camp fire while sharing stories of the day’s game sightings. Dine around the large table in the dining area with other guests as per safari tradition and indulge in a traditional South African Braai cooked over the open fire.

Activities

Africa on Foot offers activities such as guided walking safaris, game drives in open 4x4 Land Rovers and night drives with a spotlight. Children can also enjoy a special morning ‘bumble’ or game drive while parents track the Big Five on their morning walking safari. Cool down during the heat of the day in the beautiful pool or catch a tan or siesta on the wooden deck area.

Location

Located in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in Limpopo South Africa, Africa on Foot is home to the Big Five and boasts prolific birdlife including vulture, lilac breasted rollers, Maribou Stork and various raptors.
