Nottens's Bush Camp is a jewel within the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in Mpumalanga, which means “the land of the rising sun” in the locally spoken language, Shangaan.This beautiful, intimate safari lodge is situated within one of South Africa’s finest natural sanctuaries.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is a remarkable natural sanctury known for its exceptionally high concentration of animal and bird life. Safaris are led by experienced rangers in open-top land rovers, offering an adventurous discovery of the region's prolific wildlife, including Big 5 game viewing. Unique South African walking safaris are offered daily giving guest the opportunity of discovering the hidden treasures of the region. This can be followed by lazy hours spent in the sparkling pool area or having a massage at the Nature Spa.

ROOMS

Notten's Bush Camp's accommodation consists of beautifully appointed suites with open plan bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Four of the suites have both indoor and outdoor shower facilities. Each suite at Notten's Bush Camp leads onto a private wooden deck with a beautiful view of the bush.

All chalets have hot showers and the suites have both hot showers and baths. Paraffin lamps and candles replace electric lighting for ambience and all the rooms are cooled with an overhead ceiling fan.

DINING

The food at Notten’s is always delicious and it is known as one of the finest private safari lodges in Mpumalanga. Meals are a social event and guests gather in the enclosed boma around a log fire under a canopy of stars in winter or in the open plan summerhouse lit up with candlelight during summer. Meals are eaten together around one communal table, with the company of the Notten’s and their Notten’s Bush Camp team. This creates a wonderful atmosphere and an opportunity for the guests to share stories and conversation with other interesting people from South Africa and around the world.

The excellent cuisine consists of a traditional bush breakfast with fresh fruits, yogurts, mueslis and freshly baked muffins followed by eggs of one’s choice, crispy bacon, fried tomatoes, mushrooms, and the chef’s speciality of the day. The buffet high tea/lunch, served at three o’clock is a delicious spread of freshly baked quiches, breads and pies, an array of succulent garden salads, a selection of cheese and cold meats all to be finished off with the chef’s heavenly cakes. The three-course dinner is a wholesome delight of traditional flavours. The menu is varied with all tastes being catered for at Notten's Bush Camp. 
Meals are served at the enclosed boma around a log fire in winter or in the summerhouse during summer. Meals are eaten together around one communal table, under the attentive supervision of the Nottens and their team in an informal and convivial atmosphere.
