On entering the lobby of one of the largest log structures in the Southern Hemisphere, exquisitely carved solid Yellowwood trunks tower upwards to the magnificent Scandinavian hammer trusses. Rays of sunshine flooding through the spectacular stained glass windows, illuminate the splendid solid Yellowwood staircase. The autumn hues of the slate flooring and the extensive use of natural river stone combine with the wood to create an atmosphere of tranquil balance.

Knysna has many antique shops and restaurants that guests can indulge in. Guests can take a walk around the town that is reminiscent of the charm of the bygone era. The famed Knysna Lagoon has a wide variety of water sports that adventurous guests can appreciate. Travel to the famous Knysna Heads, the two rock sentinels that guard the entrance to the lagoon and leads to the Indian Ocean.

Guests can also get the opportunity to witness some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. Travel to Oudtshoorn and have fun at the Ostrich farm and Cango Wildlife Ranch. There are also Crocodile and Cheetah farms close by. For fascinating marine life guests can go Shark cage diving or even Dolphin and Whale watching to witness these glorious creatures in their natural environment.
