Established in 1802, d'Ouwe Werf is South Africa's oldest existing inn and has defined hospitality and fine dining for centuries. Our guests enjoy the wonders of the Cape Winelands from the repose of our luxurious accommodation, situated in the historical core of the university town of Stellenbosch, only 45km from Cape Town, 20km from the sea and sur-rounded by beautiful mountains. 


A myriad shops, mu-seums, art galleries and beautiful examples of Cape Dutch architecture are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Guests can sit back and sip sundowners in the tranquillity of a lovely verdant garden, or enjoy a dip in the heated swim-ming pool while others bask in the sun on the wooden deck or patio.
