Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island abutting the Xugana Lagoon in the Okavango Delta. The lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta ,a world of crystal clear waterways winding through vast reed and papyrus beds, opening unexpectedly onto tranquil lagoons, home to bream, catfish and the fighting tiger-fish. Fringed by secret wooded islands, this is a haven for the magnificent bird and wildlife that inhabit the Delta.


Mokoro trips in eco-friendly canoes built to the traditional design, boat safaris to lagoons and islands and wilderness walks give guests the chance to see the Delta denizens such as Sitatunga and Lechwe Antelope, Crocodile and Hippo.

ROOMS

Xugana Island Lodge accommodates guests in 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets. Each room offers a lagoon view through the lagoon-side vegetation. The chalets comprise twin or double beds, en-suite bathrooms, walk-in showers, overhead fans and private decks.

DINING

Xugana Island Lodge has an open boma and an al fresco dining area facing out over the expanse of pristine water that makes up the permanent Delta. Lounge, bar and dining areas lie in the shade of fig and Leadwood trees in open sided thatched areas
