Kubu Lodge (named after the Setswana word for Hippo) , which abound in the river. More than 400 different bird species can be seen in the area and the elusive Chobe Bushback is regularly seen on the nature trail. At Kubu Lodge guests enjoy 3 hour game drives or boat cruises into the Chobe National Park, for a variety of big game and birdlife. Enjoy a quiet cruise aboard our "Finfoot" to the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, the meeting place of four countries. Take a walk along the 2km Nature Trail that meanders through some pristine indigenous riverine habitat on the Chobe. Armed with binoculars, enjoy the fantastic birding that is on offer or perhaps catch a glimpse of the elusive Chobe Bushbuck that are prevalent on the property. Day trips to the Victoria Falls and Fishing trips can be easily arranged with ods and tackle are supplied. Visits to the Crocodile Farm Next door to the Lodge, a short walk around this farm with a guide will give Kubu Lodge guests some interesting insight into these amazing animals ROOMS Kubu Lodge has 11 charming chalets, all thatched and raised on stilts to give panoramic views of the Chobe River.
